2019 APRIL 16 CC/CUA/CPFA/CHA MEETING 1 - <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL/COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY/ <br />COLTON PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY AND COLTON HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />CLOSED SESSION MINUTES <br /> <br />April 16, 2019 <br /> <br />Closed Session Meeting was held on the above given date at 5:00 p.m., in the Council Chamber of City Hall, <br />with Mayor Navarro presiding. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL ROLL CALL <br />Councilmembers present were, Toro, Cisneros, Koperski, González, Woods, Suchil; and Mayor Navarro. <br /> <br />STAFF PRESENT <br />City Manager Smith, City Attorney Campos, and City Clerk Padilla. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />None <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />City Attorney Campos announced the City Council would meet in Closed Session to Discuss Item A/B/C. <br /> <br />A. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - EXISTING LITIGATION <br />Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(1) <br />Chad Griffiths v. City of Colton <br />Workers Compensation Case No. ADJ9960732--DOI 1/13/2015 CT <br /> <br />B. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - EXISTING LITIGATION <br />Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(1) <br />Richard Housley v. City of Colton <br />Workers Compensation Case No. ADJ10817759--DOI 10/11/89-7/22/16 CT <br /> <br />C. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - ANTICIPATED LITIGATION <br />Significant Exposure to Litigation, Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(2)/(e)(1) One (1) <br />Potential Cases <br /> <br />Mayor Navarro adjourned the meeting to Closed Session at 5:01 p.m. and at 6:01 p.m., the meeting reconvened, <br />with all members present heretofore. <br /> <br />City Attorney Campos announced that the City Council did meet in Closed Session and discussed Items A/B/C; <br />with direction to staff and no reportable action. <br /> <br />Reportable Action Update: <br />City Attorney Campos informed Council of report from a previous closed session that has now become final <br />and thus reportable. On February 19, 2019, on a unanimous vote, the Colton City Council approved in closed <br />session a workers compensation settlement with Richard Elias, Case NO. ADJ 10255140, in the amount of <br />$250,000. The settlement has now become final and this is why we are reporting this out today. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
