2019 MAY 08 CC/SARDA/CUA/CPFA/CHA SPECIAL MEETING - 2 - <br /> Committee Recommendations <br /> Unfunded Capital Improvements <br /> <br />Unfunded Capital Improvements <br />Director Dabbs reiterate for Council: On February 5, 2019, City Council approved a settlement <br />agreement with Fontana Water Company. As part of that settlement, some funds had to be <br />deposited back into the Water Utility for its expenditures relating to the litigation. Of that <br />settlement funding there are currently $1.9M in unallocated funds available. Staff’s <br />recommendation was that when we receive one-time funds, we utilize them on one-time items <br />rather than recurring expenses for which we don’t have an ongoing funding source: <br /> <br /> Park Concession Facilities - $225.3K <br />• Veterans Park <br />• Elizabeth Davis Park <br />• Cesar E. Chavez Park <br />• Max J. Lofy Park <br /> <br /> Park Concession Facilities (McKinley) - $75K <br /> <br /> Medians (E. Cooley Dr. W of I-215; Ashley Way) - $1.25M <br /> <br /> Property Acquisitions for Stay-Ahead Provision of HCP <br /> <br />Council Discussion <br />Discernment and discussion between Councilmembers; with clarification provide by staff: <br />Director Dabbs; Director Kolk; Director Farrar; Fire Chief MC Hargue; and City Manager <br />Smith. <br /> <br />Direction to Staff <br />Full consensus by Councilmembers present to include $300,000 for park concession upgrades at <br />the following locations: Veterans Park, Elizabeth Davis Park, Cesar E. Chavez Park, Max J.
