2019 SEPTEMBER 17 CC/CUA/CPFA/CHA MEETING 3 - <br /> <br />(11) Purchase - Electric Hybrid Vehicle - Approve Purchase of Electric Hybrid Vehicle. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ORAL REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br />Comments from Mayor and Council on various issues and activities throughout the community. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS <br />City Manager Smith reminded Council of upcoming items for discussion and action: (1) Sidewalk Ordinance; <br />and (2) Tobacco Retail Ordinance. <br /> <br />Fire Chief McHargue presented an information/overview on departed Retired Battalion Chief Craig White; <br />passed away on September 6, 2019 at the age of 58, of throat cancer; Chief White worked for the City of Colton <br />Fire Department from 1983 to 2011; Chief White loved the City of Colton and the Colton Fire Department.; he <br />was instrumental in improving our wildland firefighting capabilities, helped to design our 1997 Type-III brush <br />engine, our ladder truck, and other fire engines; under Chief White, Colton Fire switched to the Kovatch Motor <br />Equipment fire engines that we use today; he helped to choose our training tower and was an asset to our <br />training program; he is survived by his wife, Kathy and his children Brianna and Cameron; memorial services <br />will be held on Friday October 4, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the Sunnyslope Cemetery in Beaumont, California, with <br />a reception following at the Faith Chapel in Mentone, California. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />At 6:52 p.m. Mayor Navarro adjourned the Regular Council Meeting in Memorium of Retired Battalion Chief <br />Craig White. <br /> <br /> <br /> _________________________________ <br />Carolina R.
