CITY OF COLTON <br />CITY COUNCIL/SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />FOR THE CITY OF COLTON/COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY/ <br />COLTON PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY AND <br />COLTON HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES <br />April 1, 2015 <br />Regular Meeting held on the above -given date at 5:05 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City <br />Hall, with Mayor Richard DeLaRosa presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE <br />Mayor Richard A. DeLaRosa. <br />CITY COUNCIL ROLL CALL <br />Councilmembers present were, Toro (appeared at 5:11 p.m.), Jorrin, Gonzalez, Suchil, MPT Navarro <br />and Mayor DeLaRosa. Absent CM Bennett (our of the Country). <br />STAFF PRESENT <br />City Manager Smith, City Attorney Martinez, and City Clerk Padilla. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />The following community members addressed the Council: <br />Frank Quesada; Shelly Burnach; Chetay Catalano; Anthony Bertrand; Gary Clifford; Marina <br />Sanchet; Christina Irish -Re; Rebecca Lozano Hernandez; Marie Medina; Cynthia Lozano <br />Vanthul; Chris Gallegos; and Arthur Zepeda Jr. <br />WORKSHOP / BUSINESS ITEMS <br />(1) Discussion of Solid Waste Service Alternatives and Solid Waste Issues. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />The following community members addressed the Council: Jim Smith and Jeff Snow. <br />Before presentation related to Solid Waste Services Mayor DeLaRosa asked for a consensus <br />from Councilmembers present as to the direction of the item before this body. This included <br />specific input from City Attorney Martinez and City Manager Smith as to the discussion and <br />goals to be achieved. Council, Attorney Martinez and City Manager Smith concluded as will be <br />outlined by staff: (1) Consider Base Contract and/or (2) Consider Additional Services; (3)'Direct <br />staff to begin the RFP proposal process. <br />Amer Jakher, Public Works Director, presented a PowerPoint presentation that addressed the <br />eight items staff was directed to provide clarification as outlined at the February 10, 2015 <br />workshop.
