CEREMONIAL MATTERS Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />• Presentation — Business Focus — Vegan Komer <br />CM Jorrin assisted staff (Art Morgan, Economic Development Manager and Chetay Catalano Executive <br />Director, City of Colton Chamber of Commerce) on presenting You Make A Difference recognition certificate <br />to business owners of the Vegan Korner, Mr. & Mrs. Williams. <br />• Certificate — 601h Anniversary — Knights of Columbus <br />Mayor DeLaRosa and MPT Navarro presented You Make A Difference recognition certificate to the Knights of <br />Columbus, in acknowledgement of their 601h Anniversary of their service organization. Certificate accepted by <br />Frank Galarza, Grand Knight, and Alex Perez, Deputy Grand Knight. <br />• Certificate — Interstate 215 Bi -County Project <br />MPT Navarro presented to Mayor DeLaRosa a Certificate of Recognition from the State of California from <br />Senate Representative Connie M. Leyva, 20th District, the Interstate 215 Bi -County Project Ribbon -Cutting of <br />May 27, 2015. <br />• Certificate— 2014 Officer of the Year— Officer Jaime Ramirez <br />Mayor DeLaRosa asked Police Chief Mark Owens to assist in presenting the award. Chief Owens gave a brief <br />description of Officer Ramirez' career since becoming a Police Officer in 2004 for the City of Pomona and <br />began his service in the City of Colton in 2005. A Plaque was presented recognizing Officer Jaime Ramirez as <br />the City of Colton 2014 Officer of the Year, accepted by Officer Ramirez. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS <br />POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF JUNE 02, <br />2015. <br />Mayor DeLaRosa asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a conflict of interest <br />pursuant to CMC Section 2.04.030. None disclosed. <br />AB 1234 ORAL REPORTS <br />Mayor DeLaRosa asked the members present if there were any brief reports on meetings attended at the <br />expense of the City. (GC Section 53232.3(d). None disclosed. <br />CM Bennett, CM Suchil, CM Toro, MPT Navarro, and Mayor DeLaRosa attended the ICSC (International <br />Council of Shopping Centers Conference) held in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 17, 2015 through May 20, 2015; <br />Councilmembers met with numerous retailers and developers to discuss development opportunities through -out <br />the City of Colton <br />MAYOR & COUNCIL DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />• Discussion and Possible Direction to Amend the Colton Municipal Code, Title 2, Chapter 2.02: Election <br />of City Council Members by District. <br />With no objection from Council, Mayor DeLaRosa announced this item pulled and moved to the following <br />council meeting of June 16, 2015. <br />APPOINTMENTS <br />• District 5 —Utilities Commission —Christopher K.
