CITY OF COLTON <br />CITY COUNCIL/SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />FOR THE CITY OF COLTON/COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY/ <br />COLTON PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY AND <br />COLTON HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />CLOSED SESSION MINUTES <br />October 9, 2014 <br />Closed Session Meeting was held on the above given date at 5:08 p.m., in the Council Chambers <br />of City Hall, with Mayor Zamora presiding. <br />CITY COUNCIL ROLL CALL <br />Councilmembers present were, CM Toro (appeared at 5:55 p.m), Gonzales, Oliva, MPT Suchil <br />(appeared at 5:10 p. m.), and Mayor Zamora. Absent CM Navarro. <br />STAFF PRESENT <br />ACM Jakher, CA Martinez, and CC Padilla. <br />CLOSED SESSION PUBLIC COMMENT <br />None. <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />City Attorney Marco Martinez announced that the City Council would meet in Closed Session to <br />Discuss Item A. <br />A. PUBLIC EMPLOYEE APPOINTMENT <br />Pursuant to California Government Code Section 54957 <br />Title: Interim City Manager/City Manager <br />Mayor Sarah S. Zamora adjourned the meeting to Closed Session at 5:10 p.m. and at 8:55 p.m., <br />the meeting reconvened, with all members present as heretofore. <br />City Attorney Martinez announced that Council has met in Closed Session regarding Item A of <br />the Closed Session Agenda. By a consensus of Council the Interim City Manager will be filled <br />by rotation on a monthly basis between the Public Works Director and the Community Services <br />Director. The present Acting City Manager (Public Works Director) will serve through <br />November 4, 2014 and then the Community Services Director will serve as the Acting City <br />Manager through December 2, 2014. On December 2, 2014 after the newly elected Council <br />members are installed it will be the decision of the Council to decide how to proceed to the <br />Public Employee Appointment of the Interim City Manager/City Manager. <br />
