AB 1234 ORAL REPORTS <br />None. <br />APPOINTMENTS <br />None. <br />CEREMONIAL MATTERS Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />• Recognition - P & G Restaurant, presented to Peter Smirniotakis <br />Council Members Frank Gonzales and Susan Oliva presented a Certificate of Recognition to Mr. <br />Peter Smirniotakis and the workers at P & G Restaurant, in honor of their new and improved <br />upgrades to the restaurant, their great food and for their contributions to the community. <br />• Proclamation - Blue Ribbon Week, presented to Police Chief Steve Ward <br />Mayor Zamora read and presented a Proclamation to Police Chief Steve Ward in recognition of <br />Blue Ribbon Week, honoring the men and women who gave their lives in the line of duty locally <br />and nationwide. <br />COUNCIL WORKSHOP Presentations <br />• Miller Honey Caboose Donation <br />Community Services Director Bill Smith provided a PowerPoint presentation on the options for <br />the permanent location of the Miller's Honey Caboose that was donated to the City. Mr. Smith <br />answered questions from the Council, informing them that this item will be placed on a future <br />agenda. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />The following community members addressed the Council: <br />Dr. Luis Gonzalez; Rene Cespedes, Field Representative for Congressman Gary Miller; Kirk <br />Larson, Christine Irish -Re; Stan Stosel of IBEW Local #47; John Anaya, Utilities Commissioner; <br />Jose Olivar, and Gloria Gaona of Seeds of Hope. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ORAL REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br />Council Members made comments on various issues and activities throughout the community. <br />CM Gonzales asked that the meeting be closed in memory of Monsignor Peter Luque, who <br />passed away on April 21, 2013. <br />CITY TREASURER'S REPORTS <br />None. <br />2013 MAY 7 REG CC/SARDA/CUA/CPFA/CHA MEETING - 3 - <br />
