CITY OF COLTON <br />CITY COUNCIL/SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FOR THE <br />CITY OF COLTON/COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY/ <br />COLTON PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY AND <br />COLTON HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />April 17, 2012 <br />Regular Meeting was held on the above -given date at 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City <br />Hall, with Mayor Sarah S. Zamora presiding. <br />Roll Call was announced by City Clerk Gomez with all members present as heretofore. <br />INVOCATION <br />Pastor Paul Stumpf, Colton Community Church <br />FLAG SALUTE <br />Steve Ferrence and Louie Barrera, American Legion Post 155 <br />CEREMONIAL MATTERS Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />• Proclamation — Cal Portland United States Flag Celebration <br />Mayor Zamora read the proclamation into the record and presented the proclamation to Gary <br />Thornberry, former Environmental Manager for the Colton Cal Portland Plant. <br />• Proclamation — Woman of the Year Ruth Clisby <br />Council Member Perez read the proclamation into the record, celebrating her 100a' birthday <br />and for being recognized as the Distinguished 2012 Woman of the Year by Senator Gloria <br />Negrete-McLeod. Mayor Zamora stated that Mrs. Clisby could not be present to the <br />proclamation which will be mailed to her. <br />• Recognition— Keith Porter, First Sergeant— Gold Star Recipient <br />Council Member Toro presented the Certificate of Commendation to Marine First Sergeant <br />Porter and his family. Council Member Toro also read a summary of his background and <br />accomplishments which include Combat Action Ribbon, Navy and Marine Corp Commendation <br />Medals with Gold Star, Navy and Marine Corp Good Conduct Medal with Bronze Star he is also <br />an expert rifleman. His wife Julie graduated from Colton High School and was also a Marine for <br />eight years. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS <br />POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF <br />APRIL 17, 2012. <br />Mayor Sarah S. Zamora asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a <br />conflict of interest pursuant to CMC Section 2.04.030.
