CITY OF COLTON <br />CITY COUNCIL/SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FOR THE <br />CITY OF COLTON/COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY/ <br />COLTON PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY AND <br />COLTON HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />July 17, 2012 <br />Open Session of the Regular Meeting was called to order on the above -given date at 6:06 p.m., in <br />the Council Chambers of City Hall, with Mayor Sarah S. Zamora presiding. Roll Call was <br />announced by City Clerk Eileen C. Perez <br />Council Members/Staff Absent <br />None. <br />INVOCATION <br />David Mlynarski <br />FLAG SALUTE <br />Steve Ferrance and Louie Barrera, American Legion Post 155 <br />CEREMONIAL MATTERS Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />• Presentation: Colton High School Beautification Project — Dr. Tom Rivera <br />Dr. Rivera, Mrs. Lily Rivera, Tobin Brinker and Louie Hernandez gave a presentation regarding <br />the Colton High School Beautification project and announced that they were currently raising <br />funds for this worthy project. They encouraged Council Members and residents to be partners in <br />this project and asked students and community members to help keep the high school clean. <br />• Proclamation: Dorene Dominguez, Latina Style Magazine 2012 Entrepreneur of the Year <br />Before presenting the proclamation, Council Member Yzaguirre acknowledged former Council <br />Members Jim Miller, Tobin Brinker, Max Lofy and Roy Roman, who were in attendance. MPT <br />Gonzales also acknowledged former Colton Joint Unified School District Board Member and <br />Superior Court Judge Donald Alvarez also in attendance. <br />Council Member Yzaguirre presented a proclamation to Dorene Dominguez, in recognition of <br />being awarded the Latina Style Magazine 2012 Entrepreneur of the Year award, and of her <br />accomplishments and community involvement in Colton. <br />2012 JULY 17 REG CC/SARDA/CUA/CPFA/CHA MEETING - 2 - <br />
