• Proclamation - Public Power Week (October 2 - October 8) Council Member Oliva read a Proclamation declaring the week of October 2 through October 8 as Public Power Week. Mr. Tim Lunt, Electric Technician and Distribution Supervisor, came to the podium to receive the Proclamation. • Presentation - Presentation of Photograph for Luque Center Father Peter Luque presented a portrait of his father, Peter S. Luque, to be hung at the Luque Center for which the center was named. Council Member Gonzales gave a brief history of the Luque Family and explained on behalf of the family that they donated this portrait to the City to replace the painting that is currently up at the Luque Center. • Presentation - Officer Anthony Jaeger Council Member Toro gave the background on the emergency situation where Officer Jaeger expressed professionalism and an act of compassion while assisting a local resident. Council Member Toro also acknowledged Police Dispatcher Theresa Michel and Police Sergeant Kyle Kershner, for their assistance with this emergency matter. MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF October 4, 2011. Mayor Zamora asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a conflict of interest pursuant to CMC Section 2.04.030. None. AB 1234 ORAL REPORTS Mayor Pro Tem Bennett reported that the entire Council, with the exception of Council Member Gonzales, attended the League of California Cities Conference in San Francisco on September 21 - September 23, 2011. APPOINTMENTS City Commissions & Committees; Regional Boards & Committees None. PUBLIC COMMENT The following citizens addressed the Council: Stephen Wall, Isaac Suchil, Gary Grossich, Fred Cordova, and Chris Mardis. Chris Mardis announced the debut of the Arrowhead Medical Regional Center Pink Glove video (pinkglove.co/8).
