SUPPLEMENT TO THE
COST-SHARING AGREEMENT FOR THE DESIGN
OF THE COLTON/SAN BERNARDINO
REGIONAL TERTIARY TREATMENT SYSTEM AND
REACH IV -E OF THE SANTA ANA REGIONAL INTERCEPTOR
The above referenced Cost -Sharing Agreement made effective on May
26, 1993 anticipated a refinement of the cost-sharing upon receipt
of construction bids. Such a revision is needed and desired by the
Parties. The construction contracts bid items were established to
reflect the concepts of cost distribution defined in the above
referenced Cost -Sharing Agreement. The bid from Colich & Sons
included a last minute deduction to the bid total in the amount of
$500,000. For purposes of sharing this deduction several bid items
were adjusted to approximate the distribution of costs without
consideration of the deduction. This is described in the attached
memorandum dated December 20, 1993 from Lee Slate to the RIX Board
of Control.
The following table is a summary of the cost-sharing refinement:
Detailed bid item breakdowns are included in the attached
spreadsheets.
Approval of this supplement provides explicit direction and
authority to SAWPA from each agency to enter into construction
contracts with Colich & Sons and with PCL Civil Constructors, Inc
on behalf of each agency. As regards each individual SRF Loan,
execution of the construction contracts with Colich & Sons and with
PCL Civil Constructors, Inc by SAWPA shall be as if each loan
recipient had executed the contract for their respective proportion
of the work/cost.
SARI
San Bernardino
Colton
SRF Loan No.
C-06-4118-150
C-06-4122-110
C-06-4422-110
Colich & Sons
$6,380,685
43.38%
$7,996,470
54.36%
$333,103
2.26%
PCL Civil
Constructors
$513,872
2.96%
$13,499,190
77.64%
$3,374,798
19.41%
Total
$6,894,557
21.48$
$21,495,660
1 66.97%
$3,707,901
1 11.55%
Detailed bid item breakdowns are included in the attached
spreadsheets.
Approval of this supplement provides explicit direction and
authority to SAWPA from each agency to enter into construction
contracts with Colich & Sons and with PCL Civil Constructors, Inc
on behalf of each agency.
