PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />U.D.A.G. <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported <br />that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Redevelopment Manager Jennifer Thornberry reported on the Urban Devel- <br />opment Action Grant program, advising that Staff had received three <br />responses, one of which was from the property owner, and Staff now needs <br />adequate time to make further studies of this information. Mrs. Thorn- <br />berry stated that Staff was therefore requesting a continuance of this <br />Public Hearing to the first meeting in December, December 1, 1987. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to continue <br />the Public Hearing on the Urban Development Action Grant Program to <br />Tuesday, December 1, 1987. Unanimous vote. <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Flood Plain Ordinance <br />Ord. No. 0-18-87 <br />City Attorney Edwards stated in the absence of Community Development <br />Director Aguilera, he would suggest introducing the Flood Plain Manage- <br />ment Ordinance for First Reading this evening, and Mr. Aguilera could <br />make a presentation on this matter at the time Second Reading of the <br />Ordinance would be considered. Mr. Edwards also advised that City Clerk <br />Ramos has suggested that the second sentence on the last page of this <br />Ordinance be deleted in order to appropriately advertise a summary. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to <br />pass First Reading and waive further reading of Ordinance No. 0-18-87. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-18-87 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />(First Reading) COLTON TO MINIMIZE LOSSES DUE TO FLOOD CONDI- <br />TIONS, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1589, AND ADOPT- <br />ING REGULATIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE RULES, EF- <br />FECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 1986, GOVERNING THE NATIONAL <br />FLOOD INSURANCE PROGRAM (NFIP). <br />Code Enforcement <br />Ord. No. 0-19-87 <br />City Attorney Edwards introduced Ordinance No. 0-19-87, regarding Code <br />Enforcement, advising this matter was presented to the City Council at <br />a previous meeting in principal, and now the Council can consider First <br />Reading of the Ordinance. <br />3 <br />
