(8) Zoning <br />Set for Public Hearing, Tuesday, May 5, 1987, Planning <br />Commission Resolution No. 3014, Index No. A-1-87, Zone <br />Amendment requested by Richard A. Henderson. <br />(9) Claims <br />Steven Burris; Donna Heischober; Allen Lipinski; versus the <br />City of Colton. Recommend denial. <br />(10) Personnel <br />Consider Salary Schedule for part-time employees in the <br />Human Services Department, RESOLUTION NO. R-39-87. (Re- <br />moved from the Consent Calendar) <br />(11) Insurance <br />Authorize insurance premium payment, and approve RESOLUTION <br />N0. R-40-87, transferring funds to purchase Excess Liability <br />Insurance for the City. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve <br />the Consent Calendar, with the deletion of Item No. 10. Unanimous vote. <br />(Ila) Personnel <br />City Manager Benest reported on the salary schedule for part-time em- <br />ployees for the City, advising that the effective date of these hourly <br />rates should be April 18, 1987. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-39-87, salary schedule for part-time employees of the <br />City. Unanimous vote. <br />MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Mayor Gonzales read in full a Proclamation acknowledging VICTIMS' <br />RIGHTS WEEK, April 26 through May 2, 1987. The Proclamation was <br />accepted by Police Chief Connolly. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Landscaping & Lighting Maintenance District No. 1 <br />Res. No. R-41-87 <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported <br />that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Director of Public Works John Hutton reported the public hearing this <br />evening allows the property owners within the District to file protests <br />regarding the proposed Annexation No. 6, which is located north of San <br />Bernardino Avenue and west of Pepper Avenue.
