Councilwoman Cisneros called for the question. <br />Upon roll call vote, the motion carried: <br />AYES: Four; Rios, Cisneros, Garcia, Gonzales. <br />NOES: One; Rehrer. <br />ABSENT: None. <br />Councilwoman Cisneros stated she would hope that people would become <br />aware of vicious dogs. <br />City Edwards and Chief Connolly acknowledged that they will take a <br />very aggressive stand with regard to protecting anyone who might be <br />endangered by a vicious dog. <br />Mayor Gonzales stated that he is sure the Council does not mean that <br />people should start putting their pets to sleep; if everyone cooperates, <br />time should take care of the excess animals. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />City Manager Benest stated he would request a Closed Session on Meet <br />and Confer matters, following the Redevelopment Agency Meeting. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Mr. George Fatino, 2851 South La Cadena Drive, Vice President, Lake <br />Cadena Homeowners Assoc. addressed the Council to thank Councilwoman <br />Garcia and City Manager Benest for giving them an opportunity to meet <br />with the owners of the Lake Cadena Mobile Home Park. Mr. Fatino said <br />he feels there is some progress being made to resolve their problems. <br />RECESS: <br />The City Council recessed at 8:03, to permit the Redevelopment Agency <br />to convene. <br />City Manager Benest explained the Redevelopment Agency will conduct its <br />regular business, followed by a Closed Session; the City Council will re— <br />convene while in Closed Session and conduct its Closed Session on Meet and <br />Confer Matters. <br />The Council reconvened at 8:59 p.m., all members present. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />There being no further business to come before the City Council at this <br />time, Mayor Gonzales adjourned the meeting at 9:00 p. m., to meet on <br />Tuesday, March 3, 1987, at 6:30 p.m., in Adjourned Session. <br />HELEN A.
