CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF JANUARY 21, 1997 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR & CITY COUNCIL <br />APPROVAL: MALIK DANTALA FREEMAN, CITY <br />FROM: GRACIE FERNANDEZ HARMON, <br />SUBJECT: RATIFICATION OF EMPLOYEE APPOINTMENT TO THE FULL-TfNIE <br />POSITION OF SEWER LINE MAINTENANCE WORKER IN TRAINING <br />IN THE WATER AND WASTEWATER DEPARTMENT <br />DATE: JANUARY 13, 1997 <br />BACKGROUND: There is one (1) vacant Sewer Line Maintenance Worker I position in the Water <br />and Wastewater Department. This position is being underfilled with a Sewer Line Maintenance <br />Worker in Training. Attached is the job description for the classification; salary range is $1,805 - <br />$2,192 per month. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: Recruitment for said position was conducted and an eligibility list <br />established. The candidate being referred for Council ratification meets the education and experience <br />requirements as specified in the job description. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: This is an enterprise fund position and is funded for the 1996-97 fiscal <br />year as follows: Account No. 522-8200-8200-1010 (salary) and Account No. 522-8200-8200-1100 <br />(salary related benefits). <br />Thomas K.
