SOW FIRE MARSHAL <br />SUBJECT: Public Hearing to adopt a report and statement of expenses for the <br />Weed Abatement Program and to consider imposing a lien upon <br />property for payment thereof. <br />DATE: July 19, 2000 <br />During the Regular Meeting of March 7, 2000, the City Council approved Resolution Number <br />R-16-00 declaring weeds, rubbish and refuse a Public Nuisance and subject to abatement in <br />accordance with the City's adopted standards. <br />Additionally, the Resolution authorized the Fire Chief to approve a contractor to perform the <br />abatement, to charge an administrative fee, and to place all Contractors' fees plus <br />administrative fees on the San Bernardino County Tax Rolls for collection. <br />DISCUSSION <br />At this time, abatement has been completed and staff has prepared a written Report of Costs <br />on those completed parcels for which payment had not been received prior to August 1, 2000. <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />Item #2 <br />
