HUTTON, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR <br />SUBJECT: REQUEST RECRUITMENT AND RATIFICATION OF EMPLOYEE <br />APPOINTMENT IN THE FULL-TIME POSITION OF EQUIPMENT MECHANIC. <br />DATE: JUNE 5, 2000 <br />BACKGROUND: There is one (1) Equipment Mechanic position that is currently vacant. <br />Attached is the job description for the classification. The salary range is $2,515-3,058 per month. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: This position became vacant when the former worker was promoted to <br />Equipment Maintenance Manager in the Automotive Division. The candidate being referred for <br />Council ratification meets all the requirements as specified in the job description. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: This is an approved general fund position in the fiscal year 1999-2000 and <br />2000-2001 budget, funded as follows: Account No. 605-8700-8700-1010 (salaries—miscellaneous) <br />and Account No. 605-8700-8700-1100 (Salary related benefits). <br />zic I � <br />J hn 0.
