ADJOURNED CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />DECEMBER 19, 1994 <br />In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular <br />Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above <br />given date at 5:00 P. M., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor <br />Fulp presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Mayor Fulp led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Councilmembers present were Hutton, Sandoval, Cook, Sanders, Beltran and <br />Mayor Fulp. Absent was Councilmember Bennett due to her hospitalization <br />at Redlands Community Hospital. Also present were City Attorney Biggs, <br />City Manager Martinez, and City Clerk Ramos. <br />CITY MANAGER: <br />Mayor Fulp stated the purpose of this meeting was to discuss the budget <br />deficit. He recognized the effort and hard work by the City Manager and <br />staff for tonight's presentation. <br />City Manager Martinez related that the management team members had met <br />over a period of 6 days to once again review their individual budgets, <br />already honed to bare bones, to meet new target reductions in order to <br />close the budget deficit gap. Documentation was gathered and compiled <br />for City Council's review. Mayor Fulp announced the order to be <br />observed: There would be a presentation by individual departments to be <br />followed by a question -answer period. <br />With permission, Councilmember Hutton asked to speak to warn the public <br />about rumors regarding the financial condition of the City. He remarked <br />that its employees are the City's assets, along with its enterprises. <br />They allow for the non-profit and betterment of the community. <br />He stated he had not received documentation regarding the 10 -year fiscal <br />analysis by the Finance Director as he had requested by memorandum from <br />the City Manager. He concluded that he could not justify acting on any <br />recommendation based on the history of the audit report. City Manager <br />Martinez declared he was not familiar with the document and indicated he <br />could provide information at a moment's notice. <br />DEC 19 199T, <br />
