Mayor Gonzales introduced Bengie Ibarra, Recreation Manager, and Marty Rodriguez, Representative for Senator Ayala, who presented California State Senate Awards to multi -program team volunteers: Cathy Hill, Nicole Amador, Allison Keith, Audry Burroughs, Joshua Maldonado, Adeline Ramirez, Isaiah Rivas, Lance Unger, Alex Smith, Milgen Rabaneoa, Josie Ibarra, Felipe Ibarra, Henry Robles and David Caloca. Ms. Ibarra presented Certificates of Commendation to staff members for participation beyond the call of duty: Marty Vega and Mauricio Mendoza. She presented Certificates of Commendation to the new teen volunteers: Tony Rojas, Ismael Contreras, Donald Resvaloso, Jesus Garza, Stephanie Griess, Sylvia Garza, Elvira Saavedra, Rosalda Amado, Summer Marie Almaral, Natalie Kronmiller, Eli Montez and Mario Sanchez. Special presentation was made to Colton Junior High School Administrators: Dan Rocha, Vice Principal; Lance Otis, Principal; and, Mr. Ernest Ciabattini. Proclamation Mayor proclaimed the week of April 24 - May 1, 1994, as Soil and Water Stewardship Week. Resolutions Solid Waste Advisory Task Force Motion by Councilmember Sandoval, seconded by Councilmember Bennett, to adopt a resolution to add alternates for the public members of the Solid Waste Advisory Task Force as requested by the San Bernardino County Solid Waste Management Department.
