M. <br />(21) Water Rates <br />Approve Setting for Public Hearing on October 18, 1994, <br />regarding Increase in Water Rates for FY 94-95. <br />Motion by Councilmember Cisneros, seconded by Councilmember <br />Beltran, to approve the Consent Calendar, except for Agenda Item <br />Nos. 13 and 15. Unanimous Vote. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Traff is <br />Mr. John M. Sigaty, 2105 E. Duron Street, distributed a map of the <br />area in question and described the area as having two-way traffic <br />with a channel on one side of the street. He indicated this was a <br />residential area. He described the traffic conditions and <br />identified the traffic pattern that currently exists. Mr. Sigaty <br />agreed that a stop sign was adequate to slow traffic but argued <br />that the expense of a traffic signal was not warranted at this <br />time. He suggested putting in flashing light signals, such as <br />found at the airport, and a wider cross walk in front of the school <br />to assist the crossing guard. He asked that the Council look at <br />other alternatives that are less costly and do the job better. <br />3 <br />OV { 4 <br />
