ADJOURNED CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 11, 1995 <br />In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular <br />Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above <br />given date at 6:05 P. M., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor <br />Fulp presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Mayor Fulp led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Councilmembers present were Sandoval, Bennett, Cook, Sanders, Beltran <br />and Mayor Fulp. Also present were City Attorney Biggs, City Manager <br />Martinez, and City Clerk Ramos. Absent was Councilmember Hutton. <br />AGENDA REVIEW: <br />City Manager Martinez reported that staff was prepared to answer <br />questions as to Item 1. <br />CITY CLERK'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Card -Gaming Measure: <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted for approval Resolution No. R-92-95, calling <br />of Special Election to be held on December 12, 1995 for the purpose of <br />submitting to the voters of the City of Colton the question of whether <br />or not card gaming should be allowed in the City. She indicated that <br />Resolution No. R-93-95 was to request specific services for the <br />municipal election from the Board of Supervisors of the County of San <br />Bernardino and that proposed Resolution No. R-94-95 provided City <br />Council the option of submitting argument as a legislative body - or <br />authorize any one of their number to prepare an argument for/against. <br />City Clerk Ramos proposed as a cost saving measure, in lieu of having to <br />print Ordinance No. 0-14-95 in full, that the City Attorney provide a <br />legal analysis. <br />City Attorney Biggs suggested that Resolution No. R-92-95 and Resolution <br />No. R-94-95 be modified to ask the question. "Shall Ordinance No. 0-14- <br />95, Permitting Card Clubs within the City be adopted in accordance with <br />the provisions of the California Business and Professional Code Section <br />19819?" <br />SEP 1 1 1448 <br />
