CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />APRIL 16, 1996 <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was <br />held on the above given date at 6:45 P. M., in the Council Chambers <br />of City Hall, Mayor Fulp presiding. <br />FLAG < SALUTE <br />Mayor Fulp led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />INVOCATION• <br />Chaplain Bob Johnson offered the invocation. <br />ROLL CALL• <br />Present were Councilmember John C. Hutton, Councilmember Floyd D. <br />Hansen, Councilmember Deirdre H. Bennett, Councilmember Betty L. <br />Cook, Councilmember Donald Sanders, Councilmember Abe E. Beltran <br />and Mayor George V. Fulp. Also present were City Attorney Biggs, <br />City Manager Martinez, and City Clerk Freeman. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Presentations Awards Proclamations <br />Councilmember Cook read- proclamation declaring Forgotten <br />victims Week, April 22-26, 1996. <br />* Councilmember Hansen read a proclamation declaring May -2, 1996 <br />as a Day of Prayer, the 45th consecutive observance of the <br />National Day of Prayer. Chaplain Johnson accepted the <br />proclamation and invited everyone to the prayer ceremony to be <br />held at twelve noon on May 2nd. <br />* Mayor Fulp awarded Certificates of recognition, and his <br />personal kudo, to Richard Mendoza for his scholastic <br />achievements, most recently in the academic decathlon and to <br />Dustin Armstrong for his volunteer `work and achievements in <br />scouting,especially for Eagle Scout honors. <br />* Mayor -Fulp recognized ,Jon Zane for his vigilant work in <br />graffiti removal. <br />AGENDA REVIEW: <br />APR 16 1996 <br />
