[ COUNCIL MEETING <br />AUGUST 6, 1996 <br />A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given <br />date at 6:53 p. m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Mayor Pro Tem Cook presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Mayor Pro Tem Cook led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />INVOCATION: <br />Invocation by Chaplain Jim Stovall <br />ROLL GALL: <br />Councilmembers present were Hutton, Hansen, Bennett, Sanders Beltran, and Mayor Pro <br />Tem Cook. Also present were City Manager Freeman, City Attorney Biggs and City Clerk <br />Delgado. Mayor Fulp was absent. <br />7 Mayor Pro Tem Cook made opening comments and then requested that City Attorney Biggs <br />join the chair. <br />MAYOR ANDCOUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Taormina Industries, Inc. - ` Ric Collett, Vice President, Taormina Industries, Inc/Colton <br />Disposal, gave -a report on the first thirty days of the transition period since services were <br />transferred from the City of Colton Sanitation to Colton Disposal Services. <br />Councilmember Hutton presented a Certificate of Commendation and a the Flag of the United <br />States to AL's Garden Art for hosting Discover Colton Night. Mr. Don Brocci, President of <br />Al's Garden Art, accepted and he thanked the Council and the community. <br />Councilmember Sanders presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Mr., Dave Toro, <br />Community Facilities District Commission Member, for his time and service. <br />Councilmember Sanders presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Ms. Olga Luti, Community <br />Facilities District Commission Member, for her time and service. <br />1 <br />AUG 0 6 i9 <br />
