CLOSED SESSION• <br />At request of City Attorney Biggs, motion/second was made by <br />Bennett/Hansen to add to Closed Session Item A, the matter of <br />Gonzales v. City, as there is a need to take immediate action, <br />pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2(b)(2), and the matter <br />arose subsequent to the posting of the Agenda, pursuant to <br />Government Code Section 54954.2(a). Motion carried upon unanimous <br />vote. <br />City Attorney Biggs announced the City Council would meet in Closed <br />Session pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(b) regarding <br />the following matters of pending litigation: Dela Rosa v. City of <br />Colton and Gonzales v. City. <br />City Attorney Biggs announced the City Council would meet in Closed <br />Session pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.6 to confer with <br />its Labor Negotiator, Gracie Fernandez Harmon, regarding <br />negotiations with representatives of the International Brotherhood <br />of Electrical Workers Local 47, Electric Unit; Colton, Police <br />Officers Association (CPOA); SBPEA-General Unit and SBPEA-Mid- <br />Management/Confidential Unit. <br />City Attorney Biggs announced the City Council would meet in Closed <br />Session to confer with Legal Counsel regarding one matter of <br />Pending Litigation pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(b): <br />Gibbonev v. City of Colton (CV 96-2973) <br />City Attorney Biggs announced the City Council would meet in Closed <br />Session, pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8, to confer <br />with Negotiator Hani W. Gabriel, Economic Development Director, in <br />the matter of the property at 900 North Meridian Avenue, Colton. <br />City Attorney Biggs announced the City Council would meet in Closed <br />Session, pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8, for <br />discussion with Negotiator Richard Tagore-Erwin, Consultant, <br />regarding negotiations in the matter of the Colton City Yards <br />Property at 160 S. 10th Street, Colton. <br />Mayor Fulp acknowledged the presence of School Board Member Don <br />Alvarez. <br />At 6:50 P. M., Mayor Fulp directed the meeting to closed session; <br />at 8:30 P. M., meeting reconvened; all Members present. <br />City Attorney Biggs announced City Council did meet as indicated <br />above and as to the matters of pending litigation regarding <br />Gonzales and DelaRosa, she stated there was no reportable action. <br />City Attorney Biggs announced City Council did meet as indicated <br />above and as to labor negotiations, she reported there was no <br />action taken. <br />2 <br />MAY 0 7 1996 <br />
