CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />NOVEMBER 19, 1996 <br />A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above <br />given date at 6:03 P. M., lin the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Pro Tempore <br />Cook presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Mayor Pro Tempore Cook led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. <br />INVOCATION: <br />Invocation was offered by Rev. Steve Anderson and Councilmember Sanders reflected <br />on the passing of a grand world leader, Cardinal Joseph Bernadin. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Present were Councilmember John Hutton; Councilmember Floyd D. Hansen; <br />Councilmember Deirdre Bennett; Councilmember Don Sanders; Councilmember Abe <br />E. Beltran and Mayor Pro Tempore Cook. Mayor Fulp was absent. <br />Also Present were City Manager Freeman, City Attorney Biggs and Interim City Clerk <br />Delgado.. <br />Upon City Attorney Biggs' advise, Chairman Beltran convened the Redevelopment <br />Agency for a joint meeting with the City Council specifically for the first Closed <br />Session. Roll was called and all members were present as heretofore with Member <br />Fulp absent therefrom. <br />At 6:07 P.M., CM Beltran excused himself from any deliberation of Closed Session <br />items that will follow and left the dais. After brief discussion about the calendar <br />order, it was determined that closed session would follow at the conclusion of the <br />agenda items and CM Beltran returned to the dais at 6:13 P. M. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Interim City Clerk Delgado referred to the rules of Decorum and Order and <br />enforcement thereof and agenda protocol. <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />_ <br />Councilmember Bennett read the proclamation declaring November 21st as Education <br />Day. <br />Nov 19 <br />
