RESOLUTION NO. R-111-97 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA ADOPTING <br />ELECTRIC RATE SCHEDULE CTC <br />RECESS: <br />At 7:17 p.m. Mayor Gaytan declared a recess and reconvened at 7:44 p.m. with all Members present <br />as heretofore. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued) <br />Electric <br />Mayor Gaytan declared this was the time and place continued to for consideration of establishing a <br />Public Benefits Charge in accordance with Assembly Bill 1890. <br />Mayor Gaytan declared the Public Hearing once again open. <br />City Clerk Barrera announced the Notice of Continuance was posted and reported no protests were <br />received. <br />Tim Trewyn, Assistant Electric Utility Director, made a presentation using Power Point entitled <br />Public Benefits Programs. <br />With no Public Comment presented motion/second by CM Cook/Hutton, to close the Public Hearing. <br />No opposition to the motion was received. <br />Discussion continued with clarification provided by staff. <br />Motion/second by CM Sanders/Bennett, to defer this item for the December 2, 1997 Council Meeting <br />in order to allow staff to show the spreading of the benefit and how it would impact the middle class <br />showing how equitable it would be from the customer base that is currently in place, both in a <br />summary fashion for residential and commercial, The spread should indicate a household by <br />household basis.
