I CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />OCTOBER 21, 1997 <br />A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date <br />at 6:22 P. M., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Gaytan presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Mayor Gaytan invited Police Chief Lunsford to lead the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />INVOCATION: <br />Dr. Tom Harvick offered the invocation. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Present were Councilmember Don Sanders, Councilmember John Hutton (reported during the <br />announcement of Closed Session), Councilmember Kelly Chastain, Councilmember Betty <br />Cook, Councilmember Deirdre Bennett, Councilmember David Sandoval and Mayor Karl E. <br />Gaytan. Also present were Interim City Manager Wood, City Attorney Biggs and City Clerk <br />Barrera. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />City Attorney Biggs announced that the City Council would meet in Closed Session to confer with <br />Legal Counsel with regard to the following matter of pending litigation, pursuant to Government <br />Code §54956.9(b): Tennysgay. Cit�Lof Colton. <br />City Attorney Biggs announced that the City Council would meet in Closed Session, pursuant to <br />Government Code §54956.9(b), regarding one matter of significant exposure to potential litigation. <br />City Attorney Biggs announced that the Council would meet in Closed Session, pursuant to <br />Government Code §54956.95, as follows. <br />Liability Claims against the Cjjy <br />Claimant: Alfredo Vasquez <br />Claimant: Scott Logan <br />Claimant: Patrick Chastain <br />At 6:24 P. M., Mayor Gaytan recessed the meeting to Closed Session. At 7:32 P. M., the <br />general meeting was reconvened with all Members present as heretofore. <br />As to Item "A," City Attorney Biggs stated that City Council did meet in Closed Session to confer <br />with Legal Counsel Aith regard to the following matter of pending litigation, pursuant to <br />Government Code §54956.9(b): Tennyson v.
