I CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES OCTOBER 21, 1997 A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 6:22 P. M., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Gaytan presiding. FLAG SALUTE: Mayor Gaytan invited Police Chief Lunsford to lead the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. INVOCATION: Dr. Tom Harvick offered the invocation. ROLL CALL: Present were Councilmember Don Sanders, Councilmember John Hutton (reported during the announcement of Closed Session), Councilmember Kelly Chastain, Councilmember Betty Cook, Councilmember Deirdre Bennett, Councilmember David Sandoval and Mayor Karl E. Gaytan. Also present were Interim City Manager Wood, City Attorney Biggs and City Clerk Barrera. CLOSED SESSION: City Attorney Biggs announced that the City Council would meet in Closed Session to confer with Legal Counsel with regard to the following matter of pending litigation, pursuant to Government Code §54956.9(b): Tennysgay. Cit�Lof Colton. City Attorney Biggs announced that the City Council would meet in Closed Session, pursuant to Government Code §54956.9(b), regarding one matter of significant exposure to potential litigation. City Attorney Biggs announced that the Council would meet in Closed Session, pursuant to Government Code §54956.95, as follows. Liability Claims against the Cjjy Claimant: Alfredo Vasquez Claimant: Scott Logan Claimant: Patrick Chastain At 6:24 P. M., Mayor Gaytan recessed the meeting to Closed Session. At 7:32 P. M., the general meeting was reconvened with all Members present as heretofore. As to Item "A," City Attorney Biggs stated that City Council did meet in Closed Session to confer with Legal Counsel Aith regard to the following matter of pending litigation, pursuant to Government Code §54956.9(b): Tennyson v.
