Following inquiry on the position of grant writer, previously approved by Council, City
Manager Garcia stated that he would confer with Finance Director Vega and Economic
Development Director Steel and return to Council with Staff's report and recommendation.
There was suggestion that Staff negotiate, where applicable, for funding gaps, such as, the
County of San Bernardino's Medical Center Agreement where a fire truck was provided in
place of a substation. After a brief statement by Assistant City Manager Parrish, Staff was
urged to seek the monetary difference.
At 2:13 P. M., CM/Member Chastain was present.
MOTION/VOTE: Motion by CM/Member Hutton, seconded by Mayor/Member Gaytan, to
commend Staff for their preparation and presentations and accept Staff's reports carried with
no objection voiced.
Chairperson/CM Sanders directed that Members formulate three goals for the agency and to
submit them to Staff.
City Manager Garcia assured that Staff would conduct further research and would report
promptly to City Council on the specific concerns expressed regarding an organization chart,
legal costs, supplemental financial information regarding revenue sources, cost allocations,
special revenues and the position of grant writer.
MZ 1: ►Ili uli►11
At 2:39 P.
