M., the meeting was reconvened <br />with all Members present, except for CM Grimsby, who was absent. <br />CLOSED SES ION: <br />Interim City Attorney Carvalho declared the City Council did meet in Closed Session and considered <br />the following items: <br />A. CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATOR <br />ACTION: No reportable action. <br />B. CONFERENCE WITH HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR <br />ACTION: No reportable action. <br />C. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - EXISTING LITIGATION <br />ACTION:. City Council updated on pending cases and reviewed anticipated budgets therefor. <br />Within two weeks, a thorough analysis and cost -risk management overview of these cases will be <br />made and said report will be public. <br />D. CONFERENCE WITH REAL PROPERTY NEGOTIATOR <br />ACTION: City Council accepted an offer to sell the subject properties for $40,500. <br />CEREMONIAL MATTERS: <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />D Week of April 18 - 24, 1998, declared as National Library Week, City Librarian Davis accepted <br />and Luque Center Literary Coordinator Ruth Martinez spoke on Family Literacy Festival. <br />Proclamation declared April 19-25, 1998, National Victim's Week and recognized the Inland <br />Empire Chapter of Families and Friends of Murder Victims. <br />D Posthumous recognition for achievements of Mr. Anthony A. Armas. <br />D Proclamation recognized the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 6467. <br />D Presentation by Susan Patane, NORCAL Representative, of Appreciation Award for 1998 <br />Christmas Tree Recycling, which garnered the National Christmas Tree Association Award for <br />San Bernardino County, and Encore Award for Volunteerism, Make a Difference Day and Second <br />Chance Week. <br />D Presentation of diplomas to the first graduating class of Colton CARES Program; Appreciation <br />Award presented to CARES Program Coordinator Tony Horn. <br />RECESS: <br />Council Mins April 07, 1998 2 <br />
