At 7:50 P. M., the meeting was adjourned to Closed Session and at 9:54 P. M., meeting <br />reconvened in open forum with all members present except for CM Grimsby who was absent <br />after excusing himself from Closed Session at 8:45 P. M. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />City Attorney Carvalho stated the City Council did meet in Closed Session and reported as follows: <br />A. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - ANTICIPATED LITIGATION <br />Number of Potential Case(s): One <br />MOTION/VOTE: No reportable action taken. <br />B. CONFERENCE WITH REAL PROPERTY NEGOTIATOR <br />Property: APN Nos. 137-151-11, 137-151-16 and 137-151-17 <br />MOTION/VOTE: No reportable action taken. <br />City Attorney Carvalho announced that under the provisions of Government Code Section 54954.2, <br />the City Council added an item to its Closed Session Agenda, to address a Closed Session issue with <br />respect to an employment position, namely the Fire Chief Position, as specified under Government <br />Code Section 54957. The item was identified as Item "C." She announced that the City Attorney was <br />directed to review the procedures used to select a new fire chief. The procedures were being reviewed <br />to ensure that the process was fair and just and legal. The matter was continued to the City Council's <br />adjourned meeting on May 26, 1998. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />At 9:56 P.
