Elaine Craig, SBPEA (San Bernardino Public Employee Association) representative for <br />employee units stated her support for approval of the amendment of the resolution and <br />ordinance as recommended by staff. <br />Mayor Pro Tempore Bennett announced with consensus from the Council and the Civil <br />Service Commissioners that this item would be continued allowing the Civil Service <br />Commission additional time to review the areas amended and check for accuracy. Staff <br />requested a minimum of 30 days to complete the review process at which time it would <br />be determined if a joint meeting would be necessary. <br />JOINT MEETING ADJOURNMENT: <br />At 7: 27 p.m. Mayor Pro Tempore Bennett and Chairperson Lopez adjourned the joint <br />meeting. <br />RECESS: <br />At 7:28 p.m. Mayor Pro Tempore Bennett declared a recess and at 7:40 p.m. the meeting <br />was reconvened with all Councilmembers present as heretofore (CM Sanders appeared <br />on the dais at 7:48 p.m.) with Mayor Gaytan absent. <br />CITY COUNCIL ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />UTILITY DIRECTOR'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Public Benefits the Charge Program <br />Tom Clarke, Utility Director made a presentation on the Public Benefits Program and <br />explained in brief detail: <br />➢ AB 1890 Publicly Owned Utilities/2.85% of the Utility budget dedicated to: <br />Demand-side management conservation and energy efficiency <br />New investments in renewable energy <br />Research and development <br />Services for low-income customers <br />➢ Public Benefit Revenue Sources <br />➢ Eligible Programs Statewide <br />Residential Retrofit <br />Non -Residential <br />New Construction <br />Renewable Programs <br />Low Income <br />RD&D <br />➢ Public Benefit Charge Allocation of Benefits <br />Industrial $408,500 <br />Commercial $237,500 <br />2 <br />
