The following witnesses were duly sworn and examined: <br />(2) Police Chief Patrick Crowe <br />(3) Dilu DeAlwis, Acting Finance Director <br />(4) Police Officer Edward Rodriguez <br />Attorney Diamond offered to stipulate that Tom Thanoupolos was shot through the shoulder, <br />which occurred on the date in question, and that the culprit was apprehended. Attorney Collins <br />accepted the stipulation with the further statement that the incident was caused by a disgruntled <br />patron. <br />The following witnesses were duly sworn and examined: <br />(5) Police Officer G. Zemel <br />(6) Police Officer Charles Burrows <br />RECESS: <br />At 9:13 P. M., Mayor Pro Tempore Emeritus Cook declared a recess and at 9:30 P. M., the <br />meeting was reconvened with CM Bennett, CM DeLaRosa and Mayor Gaytan absent. <br />ADMINISTRATIVE HEARING (Continued): <br />The following witness was duly sworn and examined: <br />(7) Police Sergeant Noel deDianous <br />A street address search from the Riverside Police Department; a document from the Victorville <br />Police Station and a crime analysis from the Rialto Police Department were submitted and marked <br />as Exhibit H-1 and admitted as part of the official record. <br />Attorney Roger Diamond stated he would present no witnesses on behalf of the Rocks Club. <br />Attorney Kevin Collins presented his Closing Statement. <br />Attorney Roger Diamond presented his Closing Statement. <br />Mayor Pro Tempore Emeritus Cook declared the Administrative Hearing closed. <br />Council Member Sanders summarized that the revocation of the dance permit did not entirely <br />wipe out their investment since the initial business application identified the business as sports bar <br />and restaurant. He found it was clearly the dancing that had attracted the problem. This club and <br />similar sister clubs located in other cities demonstrated a propensity towards attracting trouble and <br />creating nuisances. He found the owner started off on the wrong foot by the opening without <br />proper permits. He said that part of the difficulty, in determining the proper date when the <br />establishment opened, was because they opened without the approval of the City Council.
