customers, rate increases and revenues, capital improvements programs, <br />public benefit money, the customer service and billing function. As <br />requested by Council, City Manager Garcia stated the public benefit charge <br />would be discussed in a workshop setting, in the near future. <br />CEMETERY <br />DEPARTMENT: City Manager Garcia suggested that the status quo remain. He explained <br />that the City did go out to bid, in an unsuccessful attempt to contract the <br />business out. He said the matter would return to the Cemetery <br />Commission, in order to determine why the City received no bids, and to <br />bring the matter and recommendations to Council for further action. <br />REDEVELOPMENT <br />AGENCY: Director Robb Steel noted that a two-year budget worked well for RDA <br />since most of its obligations had multi-year commitments. He noted that the <br />agency's budget had to satisfy certain legal requirements and the Agency's <br />budget had been organized accordingly. He referred to building indicators, <br />sales taxes; per capita retail sales; assessed values; housing, business <br />attraction, inter -departmental red team response, business retention, Project <br />Areas (Downtown #1, Downtown #2, Cooley Ranch, Santa Ana River, <br />West Valley Area, Mt. Vernon and Rancho Mills), the low mod housing <br />fund, administration and guideposts. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />On motion/second by CM Cook/Grimsby, and carried, at 8:41 P.
