CM Chastain seconded motion. {No <br />vote taken.] <br />Question was posed as to why there had been no action taken on CM Grimsby's motion. City <br />Attorney Derleth explained that the Mayor Pro Tempore had heard and recognized CM Sanders' <br />motion first. Mr. Isaac Suchil commented. <br />After discussion, CM Grimsby restated his motion, seconded by CM DeLaRosa, to nominate <br />CM Cook for the Office of Mayor. The vote resulted in a deadlock with a tied vote as follows: <br />Ayes: Grimsby, Cook and DeLaRosa <br />Noes: Chastain, Bennett and Sanders <br />Motion/second by CM DeLaRosa/Grimsby to direct Staff to research and prepare appropriate <br />documents, to call for a Special Municipal Election, as early as possible, and return to City <br />Council on March 7, 2000, carried with CM Sanders and Chastain voting "No." <br />Messrs. Berg, Mitchell and Anderson commented. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />At 6:20 P.
