Finance Director Holliman announced the workshop for May 22, 2001 for the Redevelopment .,� Agency's proposed budget and presentations by each City department. He indicated that formal budget adoption was tentatively scheduled for June 18'. Finance Director Al Holliman presented an overview of the General Fund, the Utilities Funds and Internal Service Funds for the next two-year budget cycle, specifically FY 2001-02 and FY 2002- 03. The presentation, via power -point media, provided data on fund types, major legislation, revenues and expenditures and the reserve fund balance. After discussion and Council's direction, Finance Director Holliman informed that the consultants conducting the Electric Utility's management review were out in the field. He estimated it would take three weeks to complete the fieldwork and then another week within which to complete their report. Director Holliman suggested that discussion on the consultants' recommendations be scheduled for the June 2' workshop. Staff recommended that the City Council approve a budget for all funds on June 18', with any modifications to be submitted in late July but no later than the end of August. The questions and answer period continued. MOTION/VOTE: Motion/second by CM DeLaRosa/Zamora to receive and file the Finance Director's report. Motion carried with no opposition thereto. CLOSED SESSION: City Attorney Derleth announced that the City Council would meet in Closed Session to discuss the following item. (A) CONFERENCE REGARDING PERSONNEL MATTER -REVIEW OF CITY MANAGER Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957 Position: City Manager Appointment At 6:57 P. M., Mayor Bennett adjourned the general meeting to Closed Session and at 7:33 P. M., the meeting reconvened with all Members present. City Attorney Derleth reported that the City Council did meet and did confer in Closed Session on the item previously announced: (A) CONFERENCE REGARDING PERSONNEL MATTER -REVIEW OF CITY MANAGER Action: Regarding City Manager appointment, there was no reportable action taken.
