City Clerk Barrera identified the proposed resolution as R-29-01. City Attorney Carvalho <br />summarized the provisions of Resolution R-29-01. <br />Item 12 - John Battles requested to extend the hours from 7:30 A. M. to 7:30 P. M. <br />Item 9 - Human Resource Director Morris answered questions posed about the salary schedule. <br />Item 10 - Assistant to the City Manager Kivley answered questions posed about dates for the <br />suggested meetings. Upon inquiry, City Manager Garcia indicated that the funds for this matter <br />were being transferred from the City Manager's account to the CIP account. Staff was directed to <br />provide such information in future agenda reports. Discussion followed on automatic renewal <br />term. <br />Item 11 - Following inquiry, Utility Director Clarke indicated receipt of response from AQMD <br />that all of the emissions would meet their acceptable standards for start-up of the project. In <br />addition, he stated Alliance Power's intent was to add zone -on technology to the project, a clean- <br />up process, so they would be well below the state standards. He said the City had received a <br />letter from AQMD that qualified them. <br />Item 16 - Utility Director Clarke said that, since inception of the program, Kennedy -Jenks <br />verified the County's database for the parcels, performed visual inspections on any change of land <br />use or development use, and made recommendations for additional assessments as needed. <br />Thereafter, the updated database was transferred immediately to the Assessor's Office for <br />submittal to the tax bills. <br />MOTION/VOTE: Motion/second initiated by CM Chastain/Ramos to approve Items Nos. 3 to <br />16A of the Consent Calendar carried upon unanimous vote. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />(3) Minutes - Approved Minutes for the Regular Meeting held March 20, 2001, on file in the <br />Office of the City Clerk. <br />(4) Warrants - Approved Payroll Warrants #215557 to #215960, dated 03/20/01, totaling <br />$490,866.84, on file in the Finance Department. <br />(5) Personnel/Police - Approved the request to recruitment and ratification for the position of <br />Police Captain. <br />(6) Personnel/Public Works - Approved the request for recruitment and ratification of a <br />Maintenance Worker I in the Public Works Department, Street Division. <br />(7) Award of Contract - Approved the award of contract to the lowest responsible bidder for the <br />2000-2001 Pavement Rehabilitation Project - Phase II. <br />City Council Mins April 3, 2001 3 <br />
