At 9:10 P.M., Mayor Bennett adjourned the general meeting to Closed Session and at 10:28 P. M., the meeting reconvened with all Members present except for CM Zamora and CM De La Rosa who were absent therefrom. City Attorney Carvalho reported that the City Council did meet and did confer in Closed Session on the items previously announced: (A) CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATORS Action: There was no reportable action taken. (B) CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL — ANTICIPATED LITIGATION Action: Anticipated Litigation direction to go forward with staff's recommendation to petition the court to have a received appointed if the rehabilitation work is not completed (C) CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL — EXISTING LITIGATION Action: Authorization for the proposed settlement agreement and release. CONSENT CALENDAR (CONT.) Item 24. - Finance/Budget MOTION/VOTE: Motion/second by CM Sanders/Chastain to approve amendments to the budget approved by Council on June 19, 2001, and approved and adopt the Resolution regarding the budget Commencing July 1, 2001 and Ending June 30, 2003. RESOLUTION NO. R-72-01, motion carried upon with CM De La Rosa and CM Zamora absent. Item 11. - Personnel/Reclassification MOTION/VOTE: Motion/second by CM Sanders/Chastain to approve and Adopt the resolution approving reclassification of Administrative Secretary position to Administrative Assistant, RESOLUTION NO. R-65-01, motion carried no opposition Item 12. - Personnel/Classification Changes City Manager Parrish requested approval of this item with a change to the position of Executive Assistant to the Council, and a salary change to reflect an increase of 15%. MOTIONIVOTE: Motion/second by CM Ramos/De La Rosa to approve reclassification changes to accommodate a city wide reorganization, RESOLUTION NO. R-66-01, motion carried no opposition. Item 13. - Personnel/Human Resources — Approved Request for Recruitment and Ratification of Employee Appointment to the Full Time Position of Human Resources Manager in the Human Resources Department, RESOLUTION NO.
