The first paragraph of Section 9 of Ordinance No. 1231 <br />and Section 3.08.090 of the Colton Municipal Code, are hereby amended to <br />read as follows: <br />FORMAL CONIRACT PROCEDURE - GENERALLY. Purchasing of supplies, <br />services and equipment of estimated value greater than five thousand dollars <br />($5000.00) shall be by written contract with the lowest and best bidder <br />pursuant to the procedures and requirements prescribed in Sections 3.08.100 <br />through 3.08.250. <br />SECTION 2. The first paragraph of Section 10 or Ordinance No. 1080 <br />and Section 3.08.260 of the Colton Municipal Code, are hereby amended to <br />read as follows: <br />OPEN MARKET PURCHASES - PROCEDURE GENERALLY. Purchases of supplies, <br />equipment, contractual services and sales of personal property of an esti- <br />mated value in the amount of five thousand dollars ($5000.00) or less may be <br />made by the purchasing agent in the open market without observing the pro- <br />cedure prescribed by Sections 3.08.090 through 3.08.250. <br />SECTION 3. This ordinance supercedes the provisions of Ordinance <br />No. 1584. <br />SECTION 4.
