<br />County of Son Bernardino, for a period exceeding
<br />one year next preceding the date of publication of
<br />the notice hereinafter referred to; and which news-
<br />paper is not devoted to nor published for the in-
<br />terests, entertainment or instruction of a particular
<br />class, profession, trade, calling, race, or denomin-
<br />ation, or any number of some; that the notice, of
<br />which the annexed is a printed copy, has been
<br />published in each regular and entire issue of said
<br />newspaper and not in any supplement thereof on

<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE
<br />CITY OF COLTON AMEN-
<br />DING ORDINANCE NO.
<br />1373 AND CHAPTER 5.44
<br />OF THE COLTON
<br />MUNICIPAL CODE
<br />REGARDING OUTDOOR
<br />FESTIVALS.
<br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF
<br />THE CITY OF COLTON OR-
<br />DAINSAS FOLLOWS:
<br />Section 1 of Ordinance No.
<br />1373 and Section 5.44.010 of the
<br />Colton Municipal Code is
<br />amended to read as follows:
<br />5.44.010 Defined. "Outdoor
<br />festival" means any music
<br />festival, dance festival, "rock"
<br />festival or similar musical ac-
<br />tivity, at which music is provid
<br />ed by paid or amateur per-
<br />foFmers or by pre-recorded
<br />means, which is held at any
<br />place other than in a permanent
<br />building or permanent installa
<br />tion which has been constructed
<br />for the purpose of conducting
<br />such activities or similar ac
<br />tivities, and to which members
<br />of the public are invited or ad
<br />mitted for a charge or free of
<br />cost.
<br />An "outdoor festival" shall
<br />not include:
<br />(a) Performance of any of the
<br />above activities within the con
<br />fines of a private residence, so
<br />long as such activities are not
<br />advertised to the members of
<br />the public and guests are admit
<br />ted free of cost; or
<br />(b) Any amateur musical per-
<br />formance which has not been
<br />advertised to the public, which
<br />is free to members' of the
<br />public, and where attendance
<br />will not exceed 50 persons.
<br />PASSED, APPROVED AND
<br />ADOPTED this 17th day of
<br />March, 1981.
