<br />at all the times herein mentioned had and still
<br />has a bona fide subscription list of paying sub-
<br />scribers, end which newspaper has been estab-
<br />lished, printed and published at regular intervals
<br />in the said City of Colton, State of California,
<br />County of San Bernardino, for a period exceeding
<br />one year next preceding the date of publication of
<br />the notice hereinafter referred to; and which news-
<br />paper is not devoted to nor published for the in-
<br />terests, entertumment or instruction of a particular
<br />class, profession, trade, calling, race, or denomin-
<br />ation, or any number of some; that the notice, of
<br />which the annexed is a printed copy, has been
<br />published in each regular and entire issue of said
<br />newspaper and not in any supplement thereof on

<br />ORDINANCE NO. 1600
<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE
<br />CITY OF COLTON
<br />ESTABLISHING A
<br />MORITORIUM PRO-
<br />HIBITING CERTAIN IN-
<br />DUSTRIAL USES IN AN
<br />AREA OF THE CITY PEN-
<br />DING STUDY.
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council
<br />has adopted Resolution No. 4105
<br />to initiate amendments to the
<br />general plan and zoning or
<br />dinances, and
<br />WHEREAS, presently studies
<br />are in progress by the Council,
<br />the Planning Commission and
<br />other branches of City govern-
<br />ment including amendments of
<br />the general plan and the zoning
<br />ordinance of the City, and
<br />WHEREAS, the uses
<br />hereinafter referred to in the
<br />area hereinafter described may
<br />be in conflict with such con-
<br />templated zoning amendment
<br />proposal and other matters being
<br />studied, and
<br />WHEREAS, notice of hearing
<br />was duly given and a public hear-
<br />ing was duly conducted as re-
<br />quired, and
<br />WHEREAS, the adoption of
<br />this ordinance will
<br />lprotect a he
<br />public safety,
<br />nd
<br />welfare.
<br />NOW, THERFORE, the City
<br />Council of the City of Colton or-
<br />dains:
<br />Pursuant to Government Code
<br />Section 65858 any uses which
<br />may be in conflict with the con-
<br />templated zoning proposal of
<br />Resolution No. 4105 are pro-
<br />hibited and new industrial uses
<br />and expansion of existing in-
<br />dustrial uses in the area describ-
<br />ed therein and below are pro-
<br />hibited.
<br />Said prohibition shall continue
<br />until the study of said area is
<br />completed and implemented.
<br />Said area is that portion of the
<br />City of Colton described as
<br />follows:
<br />Commencing at the intersec-
<br />tion of Interstate 10 and the
<br />Santa Ana River, thence
<br />westerly along Interstate 10
<br />Avenue ,Ty$
<br />Road, then r 3�
<br />Agua Mansa the
<br />West Riverside Canal,
<br />thence southerly along said
<br />Canal to the Santa Ana
<br />River, thence northeasterly
<br />along said Santa Ana River
<br />to the point of beginning.
<br />This ordinance shall be of no
<br />further force or effect one year
<br />from its date of adoption.

<br />ADOPTED this 2nd day of June,
