WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Colton conducted a public hearing and then considered, approved and recommended the action hereinafter taken; and WHEREAS, the City Council_ of the City of Colton conduct- ed a public hearing and then considered the action hereinafter taken.. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON ORDAINS: SECTION ONE. There is hereby added to the Municipal Code of Colton Section 18.24.040 C 7, which is to read as follows: Other provisions hereof notwithstanding, the Development Review Committee may approve ^'F" - site signs for new housing developments ac- cording to the following criteria: A. Panel and sign structure shall be similar to Exhibits "A" and "B" of Planning Commission. Resolution No. 2017. B. A sign structure shall be located not less than 600 feet from an existing or previously approved sign site. Fur- ther, each sign may only contain the raTae of the sub- division and a directional arrow as shown on said Exhibit "B". C. All signs are to be placed on private property or City right-of-way with written consent of the property owner or City Encroachment_ Permit obtained and filed with the Department of Community Services prior to issuance of permit. D. A sign location plan shall be prepared showing the site of each directional sign and shall be submitted to the Depart- ment of Building and Safety prior to the issuance of a sign permit.
