1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />131 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-1-87 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON LIMITING THE <br />NUMBER OF DOGS AND CATS KEPT IN A DWELLING UNIT <br />The City Council of the City of Colton ordains: <br />The number of dogs and cats that may be kept in any one dwelling <br />unit or on any parcel of land used as a single family dwelling unit is limited <br />as follows: <br />It is unlawful to keep more than six dogs, or more than six cats, <br />or a combination of dogs and cats that total more than six. <br />Dogs or cats less than six months of age shall not be counted in <br />determining the number kept in a dwelling unit. <br />This ordinance shall not apply to premises where the City Planning <br />Corrmission has issued a Conditional Use Permit pursuant to Colton Municipal <br />Code Title 18 (Zoning) and by such permit the premises are authorized for <br />use as and for animal boarding, animal grooming, animal health care, or animal <br />keeping (heavy or light). <br />Violation of this ordinance shall be an infraction punishable as <br />provided by law. <br />This ordinance shall be effective three months after its adoption. <br />ADOPTED: March 17 , 1987 <br />ATTEST: <br />HELEN A.
