projects; require the dedication of property and permit the imposition of fees for the development of public improvements which are reasonably related to the adverse environmental impacts created by the development project; and establish areas of benefit for property which will be benefitted by the development of such improvements; and WHEREAS, the City Council hereby determines that the adoption of such a program as an interim measure is necessary to ensure the public interest, convenience, health, safety and general welfare of the current and future residents of the City of Colton. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Title 12 of the Colton Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding a new chapter to be numbered Chapter 12.32, which said chapter shall read as follows: 12.32.010 Public Improvement Fees Within Specified Areas.
