1 <br />2 <br />Kl <br />4' <br />5 <br />6' <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11' <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0 - 3 - 8 9 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />REGULATING RESIDENTIAL SALES AND AMENDING ORDINANCE 1483 <br />The City Council of the City of Colton ordains: <br />Ordinance 1483 and Colton Municipal Code Chapter 5.45 are amended <br />as follows. <br />The sections referred to below are amended to read as follows: <br />5.45.020 <br />Any person (herein the applicant) intending to conduct a "garage" <br />sale, "patio" sale, "yard" sale, or similar sale of personal <br />property to the general public on residentially zoned premises <br />or from a residence or residential garage shall, concurrently <br />with the payment of a two -dollar fee, file an application with <br />the city finance department. The applicant shall declare under <br />penalty of perjury, or by affidavit, in the application, that <br />all items to be sold are lawfully possessed, owned, utilized and <br />maintained by such applicant in connection with the use of the <br />premises and have not been acquired, possessed, or consigned for <br />the sale. The applicant shall state the date (or dates), hours, <br />and place of the proposed sale, the name and permanent address <br />of each person who will participate in conducting such sale, and <br />that the applicant and each of said persons know the provisions <br />of this chapter. <br />5.45.030 <br />Only one such sale may be conducted at the same address in any <br />calendar quarter (for example: January 1 through March 3 1). <br />No sale shall continue more than three (3) days. Sales shall <br />be conducted between the hours of eight (8:00) a.m. and eight <br />
