Any fence or wall which is approved by the zoning <br />ordinance may be used to protect a pool area so long as <br />the fence or wall meets the following requirements: <br />a) that openings in the fence/wall not be wider than <br />four (4) inches. <br />b) that a ladder effect is not produced by the <br />openings. <br />c) that the height of the fence/wall be a minimum of <br />five (5) feet as measured from the top of the <br />outside grade. <br />B. Said fence wall shall be maintained on the lot or <br />premises upon which is situated a swimming pool, <br />portable, or above ground type pools, or other open <br />areas of water including reservoirs, sumps, and irri- <br />gation ditches where the water level is higher than <br />eighteen inches. <br />
