1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />251 <br />26 <br />27 <br />281 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0- 8 -91 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON PROVIDING FOUR ADDITIONAL <br />LICENSES TO SELL FIREWORKS IN 1991 ONLY <br />WHEREAS, Colton Municipal Code Section 6.32.040 authorizes issuance <br />annually of ten licenses to sell fireworks, and such licenses are only valid for the year issued; <br />M <br />WHEREAS, in 1991 there were more applicants than authorized licenses, all of <br />the licenses have been awarded, after awarding the ten licenses authorized many qualified <br />applicants in need of revenue from such a license remain without a license; and <br />WHEREAS, such a license would be a source of revenue and some of such <br />unsuccessful applicants are without alternative sources of revenue, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that four added licenses should be <br />made available to be issued to quaked applicants based on need of revenues, now the City <br />Council of the City of Colton ordains as follows: <br />Section 1. Four (4) additional licenses to sell fireworks are authorized to be <br />issued in calendar year 1991 only. <br />Section 2. Such licenses shall only be issued to applicants that are in need of <br />revenue. Licenses shall be issued on a needs basis. Applicants shall bring in their financial <br />records and show their needs. Those with proven needs shall be given first priority. An <br />applicant that has received direct funding from any governmental, or tax -supported entity, shall <br />not be deemed to be "in need of revenue.
