1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 ORDINANCE NO. 0-15-91 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 0-2-90 TO INCLUDE THE ADOPTION OF THE UNIFORM HOUSING CODE, 1988 EDITION The City Council of the City of Colton, does hereby ordain that the Uniform Housing Code, 1988 Edition, is adopted in its entirety. SECTION ONE It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert, or demolish, equip, use, occupy or maintain any building or structure in the City, or cause the same to be done, contrary to, or in violation of, any of the provisions of the code. Any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of the code is guilty of a misdemeanor. Any such violation shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $1,000, or by imprisonment of not more than one -hundred twenty (120) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. SECTION TWO The Director of Community Development is designated as the "Building Official" as described in the codes and shall authorize to exercise all powers and responsibilities of that position. SECTION THREE One complete copy of the Uniform Housing Code, which puts forth requirements for the effective control of housing conditions in the City of Colton, shall be certified to be a true correct, and complete copy by the City Clerk of the City of Colton and shall be kept on file in the office of the City Clerk.
