Monthly charges <br />established by City Ordinance shall be a civil debt owing to the <br />(City by the owner and any occupant or user of the premise receiving <br />Iservice. <br />SECTION FIVE <br />Section 6.16.290 of the Colton Municipal Code is hereby <br />(amended to read as follows: <br />Section 6.16.290 Penalty for Violations. Any person, firm or <br />corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter is <br />guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon a conviction thereof shall be <br />punishable by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars, or by <br />imprisonment in the County jail for a period of not more than six <br />months or by both. <br />SECTION SIX <br />Section 5.02.650 of the Colton Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br />Section 5.02.650 Refuse Collection System. <br />A. Every person, firm or corporation operating a refuse <br />collection system shall obtain and pay for a license as required by <br />Chapter 6.16 of this Code. The fee for such license shall be two <br />hundred dollars ($200) per year, per vehicle used in the business <br />for such collection; provided, however that no license as herein <br />provided for the collection and disposal of rubbish shall be issued <br />SCD75559 <br />- 3 - <br />
