ORDINANCE NO. 0-02-93 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON AMENDING SECTIONS 18.06.060 AND <br />18.04.133 OF THE COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE <br />REGARDING USES COMPOSTING USES IN PARTICULAR <br />ZONES <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1: Section 18.06.060 of the Colton Municipal Code is hereby amended to include <br />as uses permitted in the M-1 and M-2 zones with a conditional use permit, the following: <br />"Mulching and related green waste land uses, including the use of green <br />materials, feedstock, and biological solids such as animal manures and sewer <br />sludge." <br />SECTION 2: Section 18.04.133 of the Colton Municipal Code is hereby amended to by the <br />addition, in appropriate alphabetical order, of the following definition: <br />"18.04.133 Composting <br />'Composting' means the use of a parcel, or portion thereof,for producing or <br />storing, for commercial purposes, a mixture that consists largely of decayed <br />organic matter including, without limitation, human waste, in the form of <br />processed sewer sludge, to be used for the purpose of creating any product <br />primarily for fertilizing or conditioning land. Composting includes, but is not <br />limited to, mulching and related green waste land uses." <br />SECTION 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and cause the <br />same or a summary thereof to be published within fifteen (15) days after adoption in a <br />newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in Colton, California, and the <br />Ordinance shall take effect according to law. <br />PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 16th day of Fdmmv, 1993. <br />=w�� M ML.KT) �" <br />ATTEST: <br />HELEN A.
