Box 6247 <br />San Bernardino, California 92412-6247 <br />Phone (909)381-9898-384-0406 FAX <br />URGENCY <br />-ORDINANCE NO. <br />0-12-94 <br />AN URGENCY <br />ORDINANCE OF THE <br />CITY - OF COLTON <br />AMENDING URGENCY <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-05- <br />94 TO EXEMPT ALL <br />CURRENTLY - <br />APPROVED TRACTS <br />EXCEPT TRACT 13362 <br />FROM THE <br />MORATORIUM ON <br />ISSUANCE OF <br />BUILDING PERMITS <br />FOR CONSTRUCTION <br />OF BUILDINGS IN <br />SLOPE AREAS OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />WHERE COMPACTION <br />PROBLEMS HAVE <br />BEEN IDENTIFIED <br />and that isle moratorium <br />should be lifted as to all <br />currently approved tracts <br />in the area subject to the <br />moratorium with the <br />exception of Tract 13362; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Cfty <br />Council -has determined <br />that - certain; changes is <br />procedures_ are advisable <br />for the review of <br />subsequent development <br />proposals in the area <br />subject to the moratorium, <br />including .-: the <br />development of a grading <br />ordinance designating a <br />grading officialtoensure <br />compliance with- City <br />standards for grading by <br />the -_provisions_-_of <br />'independent engineering <br />evaluations --of soils <br />conditions in the area <br />subject to the moratorium. <br />WHEREAS, the City <br />NOW THEREFORE, <br />Council on March 15, <br />.THE CITY COUNCIL <br />1994 adopted Ordinance <br />ORDAINS AS <br />No. 0405-94 establishing a <br />_ <br />FOLLOWS: <br />45 day moratorium on <br />— <br />construction in Reche <br />-"'SECTION -1s Urgency <br />Canyon, La Loma Hills <br />Ordinance No. 405 -94 -is <br />and immediately adjacent <br />hereby amended as to the <br />hillside areas so that the <br />moiatorIuin on <br />City could- study its <br />construction in Reche <br />current building <br />lCanyon, La Loma Hills <br />-: standards and determine- <br />and immediately adjacent <br />whether any revisions are <br />hillside areas currently in <br />advisable to assure the <br />effect to exempt all <br />stability of future <br />currently approved tracts <br />construction in those <br />except Tract 13362 from <br />areas; and <br />the terms of that <br />WHEREAS, on April <br />I moratorium in accord <br />19, 1994, the City Council <br />with the provisions of this <br />extended the moratorium <br />ordinance. <br />for a period of ten months <br />SECTION 2.
